FCPPL Awards Dissertation of CCNU Doctoral Student for Excellence
Recently, at the France-China Particle Physics Laboratory(FCPPL)annual academic meeting, Zhang Xiaoming, a doctoral student of the Joint Ph.D. Training Programs between CCNU and Université Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand in France, was awarded excellence for his dissertation.

This meeting was held in France and attended by over 130 high level physics talents from Chinese and French research institutes and higher learning institutions. Zhang’s dissertation was the only one awarded for excellence. The panel considered it a good reference for high-energy heavy-ion research.
Zhang Xiaoming obtained his master’s degree in CCNU and became a doctoral candidate of CCNU and Université Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand in 2009. He is now engaged in postdoctoral research in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and has made great contribution to ALICE collaboration on behalf of CCNU.
