Project Presentation Meeting of “CCNU Week in Australia” was Convened
On March 28th, the “Project Presentation Meeting of the 2014 CCNU Week in Australia for International Exchanges” was convened in the park of College of International Cultural Exchange. Representatives from 14 colleges of CCNU attended this meeting. Heads of eight functional departments have evaluated the presentation and the applied projects of each college.
The director of Foreign Affairs Office emphasized that the “CCNU Week in Australia” project should focus on “implementation”, so contact with Australian counterparts, cooperation intention of both sides, implementation plan and project fund would be the key issues in evaluating projects. All the schools and colleges were encouraged to enhance their cooperation with Australia.
Representatives then introduced their plans of “ CCNU Week in Australia”, their current cooperative projects and projects to be carried out, funding sources and expected outcomes. They also answered questions from evaluators.
This presentation meeting is intended to select relevant departments to participate in “CCNU Week in Australia” and to evaluate and improve their project proposals .
Since September, 2012, CCNU has launched a series of overseas “CCNU Week” projects in order to promote international collaborative projects through a brand-new exchange pattern and to facilitate the internationalization of CCNU. In April, 2013, President Yang Zongkai, together with his delegation, visited Canada to carry out the “CCNU Week” projects, which proved to be fruitful and played a critical role in strengthening the cooperative relations between the higher education institutions of both sides.
